Hello Gorgeous,
RED!! The color of passion, the color of love. Red is voted the sexiest color around, and when it is painted on your lips, it's like dynamite!
Have you ever wondered why some red lipsticks fit you so well and some others don't?! I mean it's all red isn't it?
Who would have thought that there is a science involved in choosing the right shade of red for you?!
Red lipsticks are so in right now, and there are so many shades to choose from.
we can all look great and daring and flirty with red lipsticks, but before you choose that red lipstick in your favorite store, read this, I'm sure it wil guide you in the quest to find the right lipstick shade.
First thing you should always remember is that not all red lipsticks are the same, they are all red, but some are dark, light, bright or bloody.
For ladies with Fair skin, you may want to go for red lipsticks with a coral-y red like look, this gives a pop of color perfect for your skin tone but are not overpowering. like Revlon super lustrous in fire & ice, maybelline 'are you Red-dy'
Medium skin toned ladies, you can choose from true red to pinky-cranberry red lipstick shades as they work with your golden undertones.
For Dark skinned Ladies, stick to deep, rich shades of red like burgundy or warm brick or blu-reds.
For ladies who know their undertones(i will explain that in a second).
For women with warm undertones go for shades like scarlet, clove and burnt red but If you have a cool undertone, blue-based reds are perfect for you.
Now the easiest way to have an idea of the undertone is to use the jewelry method. Chose a necklace in gold and silver, and try both on.
If the silver looks better on you, you have a Cool undertone. but if the gold suits you better, you have a Warm undertone.
TIPS
After applying a strong lipstick shade, dip a clean brush in a little concealer, and gently trace the outside of your lips to ensure a clean, sharp line.
I am a sucker for red lipsticks!!!! Thank you so much for this!!!!
