KITCHEN SECRETS FOR GREAT SKIN: OATMEAL its not just breakfast:-)

Hello Gorgeous,

I know many of us love oatmeal for breakfast, on that day we are in a rush to get out of the house, but not too late to put something in our tummys. It's fast and so easy to prepare. it makes us feel warm and full but looking beyond that, do you know oatmeal is a wonder grain? it is a natural beauty enhancher, heals the skin, and reduces inflammation. its a real comfort food.
Healthy for the skin, healthy for the body. Oatmeal can be used in a million and one ways, especially to save money, and the healithiest form of oatmeal is made from whole-grain, steel-cut oats and is also called coarse-cut oats. they are an excellent source for fibre(which is totally good for the body), omega-3 fatty acids, iron and many more (Which our body really does need).
We have different oatmeal combinations, that can help with many skin issues.

Oatmeal and Acne.
Many people are so sure oatmeal is a natural remedy to acne.
Recipe 1: cook the oatmeal and cool it until lukewarm, apply to the affected areas and let it stay for some several minutes then rinse.
This will absorb and remove excess oil and bacteria for your skin and exfoliate dead skin cells.

Recipe 2: Oatmeal Scrubs
oats are slightly rough, so they are one of natures most amazing exoliants.
Make your oatmeal scrub by griding two tablespoons of oatmeal in a blender with 1spoon of baking soda with small amount of water to form a paste.
spread on the face and leave for 10mins, gently rinse with cool water.

For a long time oatmeal has been used to promote beautiful and healthy skin, as a soothing relief from sunburn and other irritations and is said to heal skin and open pores.
It's no wonder many shelve products contain oatmeal.

Oatmeal can be used to pamper yourself after a long day.
How?
Recipe 3: soak yourselve in lukewarm water, add one cup of milk, two cups of uncooked oatmeal and a spoon of honey.
Soak in it for 20 minute. your skin will be moisturized and rejuvenated.

Recipe 4: Oatmeal and Dry skin
Oatmeal is very effective in combating dull, flaky dryness, oatmeal forms a fine protective film when applied to the skin. it fights against dry skin issues like rashes, scales, peeling etc.

Recipe 5: Oatmeal Facial Mask.
Mix 1 mashed banana, with 1 cup of ground oatmeal and add some lukewarm milk.
stir properly and make a smooth paste.
Apply all over face for 10-15mins. rinse off with cold water.
This replenishes skin moisture and keeps it soft and hydrated.

Recipe 6; soak oats in water to prepare oat milk which is a natural cleanser and toner.
This milk can be stored in the fridge
Apply on face with a cotton pad after face wash to smoothen and soften skin.

Recipe 7: Oats as a Natural Cleanser
Oats contains natural cleansers called saponins that can remove dirt and oil from the pores without causing irritation.

There are many more reasons why I'm such a crusader for oatmeal, I could write a whole book on it but In the spirit of keeping my posts shorter and at readable lengths, please feel free to email or comment your Thoughts, or whatever oatmeal combination you want to try.

So now before you throw your uneaten oatmeal in the bin, pause and think to yourself, 'this could be the answer to my skin issue' then rub that oatmeal on your face! :-)
